Tourist Places In Amritsar

Founding Of Amritsar City

Amritsar is a major commercial and cultural center in the heart of Punjab. The presence of Amritsar as a holy city can be attributed to Guru Ram Das – the founder of Amritsar, and Guru Arjun Dev – creator of the Golden Temple, a monumental Sikh shrine and venerated treasure of Sikhism. The presence of the Golden Temple has made Amritsar a pilgrimage for people. In that respect, the Amritsar Golden Temple Tour is one of the biggest reasons why most people staying in the cities situated nearby Amritsar take a short trip there. Many people know Agra only for the Taj Mahal but apart from that, there are several other Monuments and places to visit in Agra Tour. The city has admirable Tourist spots and world Heritage sites. There was an early reference to an “Agravana” in the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata, and Ptolemy is said to have called the site “Agra.”
